I remind you that the 2018 World Cup will take place in Russia from June 14 to July 15 in 12 stadiums in 11 different cities.

And what everyone is eager to know… The draw! It is already this Friday that the opponents for the group stage of the 2018 World Cup that Portugal will face will be drawn.

The pots were prepared taking into account the FIFA ranking. This ranking is a type of ranking of countries, which is made taking into account the performance of the teams in recent months.

The Portuguese team is currently included in Pot 1, together with great teams such as Russia, as they are the hosts of this championship, Germany, France, Brazil, Argentina, Belgium and Poland. Thus, these are the teams that Portugal will not face in this 1st phase, as they will be in different pots.

That is, we will have strong teams, medium teams and “weak” teams distributed in separate pots. Also, don’t forget that at this stage no more than two teams from the same continent can compete in the same group.

Spain, which is included in pot 2, is the most feared selection by most of the participants, including Portugal. Something that is not surprising, as this has dominated the history of football! However, Portugal also enters this world competition with a high status – current European Champion.

Don’t miss this draw that will take place at the Kremlin Palace, in Moscow, at 3 pm. Let’s all hope and hope that luck is on our side. And even if you don’t… we’ll support our team in every game, just like we always have!

May this World Cup prove, once again, what we are capable of!
